Dredging automation and monitoring
An automated dredging control system was supplied and commissioned on the Zefir cutter suction dredger. The system diagram was developed and agreed with the customer.
The installation included a single-axis 360-degree dynamic inclinometer, a dual-axis 90-degree dynamic inclinometer, an interface converter unit with an industrial PC, a workstation with Teledyne PDS software and an MG-Kurs GNSS receiver.
Work also included surveying sensor offsets, creating a PDS project and a 3D vessel model, system start-up and calibration, and sea trials in the dredging area.
