Survey of underwater communications (cables, pipes, etc.) is carried out for the following purposes:

• 3d positioning and burial depth determination, deviations from design;
• identification of the bottom vertical deformations, caused by the influence of wave sediments, currents, and other factors along the entire route and in the buffer zone;
• different years vertical bottom deformation data comparison and analysis;
• debris and objects detection and identification along the route;
• study of the floating ice and moving vessels impact on the sea bottom along the route;
• coastal deformation evaluation.
