Hydrographic data collection and database preparation for Lake Onega electronic navigational charts

Hydrographic surveys were completed for the Lake Onega electronic navigational chart project. Navigation and hydrographic data files were prepared for inclusion in the ENC database.

Surveys covered 4,300 square kilometres during the 2025 navigation season. The systems included Reson T20 IDH dual-head multibeam echo sounders, high-resolution Reson T50 systems and Reson NS515 single-beam echo sounders.

Survey vessels were positioned in real-time kinematic mode with centimetre-level accuracy using a network of differential survey stations. The positions of 44 floating and 19 shore-based aids to navigation were determined or refined.
